Runaway Rooster and hosts, George and Karen, could not be more charming! Just delightful! This property was perfect for us – a couple from Toronto with a 12-year-old son. It is just as cute, clean, cozy and comfortable as it looks. Karen and George have attended to every detail – it is super well equipped with kitchen gear, comfy linens, games, Netflix, etc. Karen and George were so nice and easy to deal with. We took them up on their offer to play badminton in their backyard and joined their family for roasted marshmallows around the fire one night. We're looking forward to going back!

I cannot say enough good things about this AirBnB, and the hosts Karen and George. The space is absolutely immaculate, beautifully decorated, incredibly clean. The pictures here on AirBnB are beautiful and they don't even do the space justice! We stayed here over a weekend with another couple; My husband and I slept on the pull-out couch and it was the most comfy pull-out couch I've ever slept on. The couches themselves are also very comfortable, the kitchen is very well equipped and all of the appliances, utensils, cooking implements, bed linens, duvets, pillows, etc. are very much top of the line! Karen & George really do go the extra mile as well with the complimentary sparkling wine and locally-baked treats that we were greeted with. George also started a nice big fire in the fire pit for us on our second night which was lovely. I would absolutely stay here again and recommend it for anyone looking for a wonderful experience in Prince Edward County!

I cannot say enough incredible things about our stay at the Runaway Rooster, and hospitality from Karen and George. From the moment we walked in to a welcome package with sparkling wine and fresh pastries from a local bake shop to the comfortable nights cooking in – we felt right at home. The space is immaculate, and perfectly poised for a weekend getaway. The open concept kitchen and high-end appliances allowed for cooking up a storm, and offered a vibrant open space to share conversation. Our group of 4 was always comfortable – even the pull-out bed was incredibly comfy! The kitchen was stacked with basic ingredients, local coffee and glassware – everything you need. I will definitely be staying with Karen and George again. 10/10! Thank you very much, the best AirBnB I have ever stayed in.

La guest house est adorable et on a manqué de rien. L'endroit était très propre, à proximité de Sandbanks (15 min environ), près de l'épicerie, je n'ai rien de négatif à dire sur cet endroit. Nous étions 4 jeunes, on s'est fait un BBQ, profité de la cours et fait un feu. Ils nous ont recommandés les meilleurs restos en ville et on a pas été déçu. Je le recommande à tout le monde qui va dans cette région, car vous tomberez en amour avec l'endroit.

“A beautiful restful getaway.”

Can’t say enough about this property! Not only is it beautiful, with so many creative accents and tasteful design touches throughout, but it’s extremely well-appointed. Not a thing was lacking, we loved cooking in the kitchen and the available Spotify & Netflix was much appreciated. Karen & George are gracious and helpful hosts, our welcome gifts were such a nice touch. Great location, Bloomfield is nicely situated between Sandbanks Provincial Park and Picton, and close to most of the wineries. So grateful to have use of a parks pass too! A wonderful convenience. We’ve never had a bad time in the County but this was our most comfortable and relaxing yet!

Karen et George sont des hôtes accueillants, disponibles et très attentionnés. Ils ont été réactifs pour répondre à nos questions et la communication avec eux a été facile et très cordiale. Quant à la maison, tous les membres de la famille s’y sont tout de suite sentis bien. En effet, elle est lumineuse, confortable, très bien équipée et d’une propreté irréprochable. De plus, nos hôtes avaient laissé quelques surpises pour nous faire découvrir les produits de la région. Le village de Bloomfield est à quelques minutes à pieds et différentes épiceries et accommodations se trouvent à quelques minutes de voiture ainsi que les plages de Sandbanks. Nous recommandons la maison de Karen et George à tous ceux qui souhaitent passer un séjour inoubliable dans cette belle région. Encore merci pour tout!

“Karen and George are amazing hosts and their home is beyond lovely!”

I've stayed in numerous AriBnBs around the world and this was my third visit to Prince Edward County. I must say this weekend surpassed my expectations! Karen and George are amazing hosts and their home is beyond lovely! Upon arrival, we were gifted with delicious locally made pastries and a bottle of chilled Rosé! Their place is super clean, comfy beds and pillows, plenty of towels and beach towels. They left us their Sandbanks park pass!!! LOVED cooking in their gourmet fully equipped kitchen! George prepared an amazing campfire for us on their spectacular grounds. Do not hesitate to book this place! I cannot wait to return in the fall and stay here again! Furthermore, Karen was very quick to respond to any questions I had! Thanks again Karen and George!

“Runaway Rooster is a great location for relaxing in the County.”

The cottage is located at a walking distance from Bloomfield. That village is so cute with nice shops and delicious ice cream. Picton is nice too with plenty of shops, a theatre, groceries, bakery, etc. After a day spent in these nice villages or at sandbanks you will appreciate the quiet location of the apartment. All the cooking space and gears you need for preparing the food you bought during the day are available. After the meal sit down and relax on back porch while listening at singing birds.
